The Pool Floor – the heart of outdoor living

At Villa Asti, the pool is not just somewhere you go for a swim. It’s an entire level of the house, designed to be used, lived in, and returned to throughout the day - its for everybody

We call it the Pool Floor.

Almost a pool - Villa Asti

Pool Floor at Villa Asti

This is where you spend the day, with family and friends - enjoying the view and the sun.

Set on the lowest level of the property, the space opens up to a view that feels almost endless. From here, the landscape rolls out across the hills of Piemonte, with soft light shifting throughout the day and a sense of calm that is hard to find elsewhere. It’s the kind of place where mornings start slowly, and where time seems to stretch a little longer than usual.

Made for being outside

The Pool Floor was designed with a simple idea in mind: to make outdoor living feel easy and natural.

At the centre of it all is a large covered gazebo, offering shade and a place to gather around a long teak dining table that comfortably seats 12. This is where lunches turn into long afternoons, and dinners carry on well after sunset. - under the cozy lamps

From 2027, the space will be expanded with an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven, making it even easier to spend the entire day here — cooking, eating, and enjoying the surroundings without needing to move back inside.

The pool blends into the landscape

The pool itself is deliberately simple in its design, with clean lines and a calm expression that allows the surroundings to take centre stage. At 12 metres long, the infinity pool stretches towards the horizon, visually blending into the landscape, while the 1.5 metre depth makes it just as suited for relaxed swimming as for cooling off in the heat.

Around the pool, there is space for both sun and shade. Twelve sunbeds are placed to take full advantage of the view, while large parasols offer a retreat from the midday sun. A discreet outdoor shower adds to the ease of moving between pool and terrace.

All furniture has been carefully selected and delivered by Bo-Tikken, bringing a subtle Scandinavian simplicity into the Italian setting, with materials and tones chosen to feel calm, natural, and long-lasting.

Pool 2025 almost finished

Here it is filled with water and several things are adjusted

Easy to reach, easy to stay

Although the Pool Floor feels like its own quiet world, it is closely connected to the rest of the house.

You can reach it via two staircases that lead down through the garden from the main level, or directly from the lower floor of the house. This makes it just as practical for everyday use as it is for larger groups moving between spaces.

At the same time, everything you need is already here. WiFi covers the entire area, there is a Sonos system for music, and a bathroom is located just steps from the pool, so there is no need to leave once you have settled in.
